SPACE CIRCUS
Safe and brave spaces for learning, growing, and participating

International Conference Altra Risorsa

The conference Circo Sociale: un’Altra Risorsa is an initiative through which AltroCirco aims to provide innovative and stimulating tools and content for practitioners of social circus and professionals working in the social and educational sectors. Its objective is to offer an opportunity for professional development and in-depth exploration, as well as a space for exchange and dialogue among the worlds of circus, formal education, non-formal education, and public and private organisations that use art as a means for social transformation.

Now in its eighth edition, the conference includes keynote presentations, workshops, thematic panels, and moments dedicated to exchange, reflection, and debate.

Altra Risorsa 2026
Space Circus: safe and brave spaces for learning, growing, and participating

Social circus is a space for social transformation where non-formal education intertwines with embodied practices, community building, and processes of emancipation, empowerment, and social justice. Through dialogue between theory and practice, and through reflection on the concepts of safe, brave, and relaxed spaces, Altra Risorsa 2026 explores social circus as a political tool that creates and dismantles norms, privileges, comfort zones, and practices of ‘inclusion’ and accessibility. Workshops, presentations, and thematic panels will alternate throughout the conference to explore the boundaries and connections between safety and vulnerability, power and voice, accessibility and creativity, freedom and collectivity.

Altra Risorsa 2026 will take place in Turin at the Casa di Quartiere di San Salvario.
Entry will be free, with a voluntary donation.
Registration is required in advance via the form available on www.altrocirco.it

AltroCirco

It brings together practitioners across Italy to promote circus as a tool for social transformation. It is a member of the international Caravan Circus Network and, since 2015, has delivered the Italian Social Circus Training Programme (FiX).
